The 1973 World Championship Tennis circuit was one of the two rival professional male tennis circuits of 1973. It was organized by World Championship Tennis (WCT). The WCT circuit divided the players into two groups of 32 players, with each group playing 11 tournaments of the 22 tournaments.
Robert "Bob" Lutz, born August 29, 1947 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was a top amateur and professional tennis player of the 1960s and 1970s. He and his longtime partner Stan Smith were one of the best doubles teams of all time. Together they won many major titles all over the world. Bud Collins ranked Lutz as World No. 7 in 1972.
